Monster update

April 5, 2010

There be monsters in the news. The Evening Lost editor Mike ‘Snortin’ thought it funny to have a colossal monster Long John Silver statue in the docks as an April fool joke. ARRRRR- should’ve looked yer first, dumbass.

There was the John-Wesley Monster astride his trusty Monster steed walking all over the South Bristol citizens and non-believers.

RN and MOD and Sea Monsters.

MOD and Sea Monsters: What Captain Haddock didn't spot

And in a most bizarre statement the MOD say:

‘….I have to report that the RN and MOD in general does not maintain any form of central repository of information purely devoted to Sea Monsters.
Personnel might be inclined to record unusual sightings in ship’s logs,
but there is, as far as we know no actual requirement for them to do so,
and it would be beyond the resource constraints of an FOI request to check every line of every RN Log book for any such references since 2005.
However the RN does invite people to report sightings of marine
mammals, and its possible this could include unusual sightings. These are
forwarded to the
UK Hydrographic Office at Taunton….’

Captain Birdseye and his rear-admirals obviously didn’t look here or they would have seen the Ashton Gate monster swimming up the Severn.

Finally expect the hideous Monster Ashton Gate Sainsburys battling it out soon with its arch enemies as the next episode in the series develops.
