Gag-gate : Evening Posers get the gagging order at last.

September 21, 2011

A judge has gagged the PisspoorPost at last.
At first glance it seems odd that a judge would want to gag the freedom of the press.
But with freedom comes responsibility, and the Post has demonstrated for the last few years that it cannot be trusted to disseminate information in a responsible manner. The way in which the paper has used its monopoly power to target individual citizens and communities can be compared with the worst excesses of the recent Murdoch scandals.
The judge has quite rightly decided that they’d had enough of the intimidation and shut the bullies right up. The judicial equivalent of a dead leg not before time.

It is extremely rare for JR Applicants to get an anonymity order. It virtually never happens.

The Applicants must have submitted some pretty compelling evidence of threats, intimidation and violence to get the Order.

Or they could have exagerated about the intimidation, violence and threats. They have been known to exagerate so far.
I notice there have been no prosecutions as yet, concerning these acts, even though there must be compelling evidence, according to some.

Hang on! I’ve just realised. There were prosecutions of about 70 BCFC supporters for threatening behaviour and criminal damage to properties in Ashton Vale. They included Colin Sextone, Guy Price and Richard Lane, but the Evil Post has not published the stories and have decided that it would be detrimental to the stadium application for such news to rear it’s ugly head, I don’t think so.
Just to let you know, the Evil Post is known as that on the OTIB site as well.

I don’t think its known as the Evil post here. You’re the first one I’ve seen use the term.

Thanks for all that info on Sexton, Price etc. Did not know about that !!! Who’d have thought it ?

I’m sorry, I thought it was known by that term by all those it upsets at times.

You surprise me when only commenting on the obvious fairy tale story, yet not the truth.

PS. could you inform the masses of how you are suddenly an expert in the application and subsequent public naming of applicants or not, for judicial reviews?
I’m sure the man in the street wouldn’t know that information, perhaps you are a councillor or close to the law.

I’d like to know how Mr Lane is an expert at everything.
The judge ordering the Evening Post and any other publication to shut up on naming people is pretty unusual.
Obviously there must be major concern over intimidation of individuals which the judges take pretty seriously.
Local Politicians got plenty of that from the original lawful rejection of the massive supermarket plans. Such that most of the planning committee were removed/stood down making a mockery of the system.
There’s still a sad bunch of hooligans hanging onto a worn out football tough guy image they haven’t grown out of. Unfortunately Lansdown, Sexton and their mob haven’t come forward to condemn this element of their club and the judges order is obviously the end result of this.

I don’t claim to be an expert in anything, other than spotting bullshit.
What I do is ask you and certain others questions, unfortunately most of the time they are never answered, such as. Where are the prosecutions for the criminal acts in Ashton Vale? The questions just get batted back or ignored completely and some more bullshit added.

I’m confused now Rich. You said there had been 70 now you say there were none.

Not difficult for you to get confused is it? I did not say there were none as you claim, you have deliberately misrepresented my statement, it is somethi9ng I have grown accustomed to on this site.
I actually questioned where the prosecutions for the acts of violence, criminal damage and intimidation were. As usual and as expected, they have not materialised. And yet again, the question but not the allegation has been ignored.
